It’s the people and their passion for what they do that make BCG such a unique place.

A Personal Story

I never planned to work in the corporate world. Studying international relations, I hoped for a career in diplomacy or academia.

Yet I became intrigued by consulting as soon as I learnt about it: work in an international environment, zero risk of stereotypes and collaboration with people from the most exotic academic disciplines sounded just right for me.

Now I’ve been with BCG for almost two years; I have worked on very real business problems in different industries across several countries, I have seen my recommendations implemented and my skills developing beyond my expectations. Add the fantastic people I work with and the extremely friendly company culture and you may begin to understand my fascination with consulting…

A Personal Story
BCG’s dedication to expanding and supporting its pool of female talent isn’t rhetoric—it’s for competitive advantage. When I was interviewing at BCG, the lead associate recruiting partner stressed her commitment to gender parity among the incoming class—a pledge I had never heard from other companies. Furthermore, this is a topic on which folks on all levels at BCG readily engage: I shared a long plane ride with a male colleague on my case, debating the characteristics unique to women that bring our clients particular value. I am excited that my female professional ideal isn’t something BCG just talks about supporting. I need only to look at the successful principals and partners in my home office to know that the commitment is real.
Background
Kaelin joined BCG in 2007. Before BCG, she spent time as a summer legal assistant at White and Case and interned with the Democratic Policy Committee in the United States Senate. Kaelin graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in government from Dartmouth College, where she received the Dean of the College Award for Service.

The best part of BCG is that each case is an opportunity to grow and while providing the best service to our clients.

A Personal Story

When I was looking for a consulting firm, I wanted to work for a firm that is involved in a wide range of industries and on the cutting edge of business.  I viewed BCG as a firm that understands an individual’s strengths and skills and provides endless opportunities for a young professional to develop expertise that can be applied to a vast array of clients.

In my first year at BCG, my experiences included improving the capabilities of an international retailer, a beverage company and a 99-year-old nonprofit. Through those fascinating cases, I was introduced to challenges that enabled me to grow and become more versatile. I saw how BCG respects each consultant and taps into our unique skills to provide the best service to our clients.
