A Personal Story
BCG has provided me with a wide range of international opportunities.  While working on my first project in the New York office, I went on market visits to Rome and Hong Kong.  I also spent several weeks in Dublin working on a telecoms project with a team from London.  Now I am spending the year working in the Prague office as part of the Associate Abroad program.  With each project, in addition to learning about a new industry or practice area, there is the added challenge of understanding a new geographical market.  It has been exciting to work with people from other offices to gain new perspectives from them and share mine.  It is wonderful that BCG has provided me with so much international experience very early in my career.

A Personal Story

As a young consultant, I have found that handling issues critical to a client’s future success is a challenging and extraordinary experience. Each time I approach a new issue, a new industry, or a new business function, I am surprised to discover that my skills and confidence are growing. Working with the bright people at BCG not only helps me learn core business skills, but also inspires me to understand my colleagues and their philosophies.

After two years of experience in my home country, I have been given the opportunity to work in the Boston office for a year. This is another chance to grow—to learn about the global business environment and to gain exposure to new industries, such as health care, which is of particular interest to me. It is amazing to see the positive impact BCG global experts have on their clients, as well as on new consultants like me. And it has been a pleasure to share thoughts and ideas with BCG colleagues from so many different backgrounds.

I joined BCG to get on a fast track for learning business practices and to expand my horizon to a global perspective. BCG has helped me meet both these goals.
